Engineering, architectural and planning firm TKDA and Farmers Insurance have extended leases at UBS Plaza at 444 Cedar St. in downtown St. Paul…
…TKDA signed a long-term extension for its 50,000-square-foot lease. TKDA is the largest tenant in the 230,000-square-foot building and occupies floors 13 through 16. Tom Braman of Braman & Associates Inc. represented TKDA.
“TKDA has always enjoyed being a tenant at UBS Plaza, which we think provides one of the best locations and some of the best amenities in downtown St. Paul,” said William Deitner, TKDA’s president and CEO, in a statement. “I am very pleased that we have come to a new long-term lease agreement, which ensures that our 200 St. Paul Employees remain here for many years to come.”

…Sieben Grose signed a seven-year lease in early June for 15,400 square feet on the fifth floor of AT&T tower, at Ninth Street and Marquette Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, Firm Administrator Cheryl Johnson said. Other terms were not disclosed.

Bloomington-based NorthMarq announced a batch of retail, office and industrial deals completed in May.
Senior vice president Bill Rothstein and vice president Dan Wicker secured a 10-year, 54,000 square foot lease renewal with SFM Mutual Insurance Company at the Northland Executive Office Center in Bloomington. Tom Braman of Braman & Associates represented SFM Mutual.

This summer, Kerker is relocating to 24 University Ave. N.E., a vintage brick and timber building just across the river from downtown in northeast Minneapolis. The building, which dates to 1910, began life as a city fire barn.
Kerker is leasing approximately 11,000 square feet. The firm has about 45 employees.

PDI May Fill Empty Rider Law Offices

Personnel Decisions International, a Minneapolis-based consulting firm, has reached a tentative deal to relocate to the office space formerly used by the Rider Bennett law firm, which dissolved in May.
…PDI, a human-resources and professional-development consulting firm, plans to lease about 70,000 square feet, or the top three floors, in 33 South Sixth and leave its longtime headquarters about one block away, according to several sources familiar with the deal who declined to be named to protect client relationships.
…Tracy Kurschner, a spokeswoman for privately held PDI, declined to comment on a potential move. She confirmed that PDI is looking for real estate. Tom Braman, a real estate broker at Minneapolis-based Braman & Associates Inc. who is representing the firm, also declined to comment.
